Thanks for the memories Andy. You were part of the journey. RIP
This.

He terrorised defences, whether it be ManUtd with all their stars, or Oldham in the 3rd Division. Whatever we paid for him we should have paid more.
Wonderful memories.

£30,000
I was on holiday abroad and my brother sent me a telegram when Lochhead signed. The hotel manager was very nervous giving me the telegram as it usually meant bad news, not on this occasion.

A great header of the ball and as hard as nails, everything you wanted in a CF back then. Loved the song for him too. Hope it’s sung for him tomorrow.  RIP

Just before my time so never saw him play but have seen the semi-final goals and know from here that he was much loved.

Villa will wear black armbands tomorrow in his memory.

He scored in my first ever glory hunting game, although I'll admit I don't remember it, just the occasion. He had a song that carried on to others throughout the years, I'm not going to deny an occasional hankering after someone to live up to its fairly straightforward ideals. RIP.

I was at that match as a kid. It was the first season my late dad started to take me regularly. I recall Andy Lochhead as a force of nature that wouldn’t be denied. RIP

He was one of the main catalysts for our return to the big team.

A fearless player, RIP big man.

Came to us at just the right time.
Took a while to get going.
Helped us get back on an upwards momentum.
RIP Andy

A centre forward doesn't necessarily have to score the winner in a European Cup final or complete the PFA Player/Young Player double to be a genuine legend. Sometimes being the talisman at a club's lowest ebb is sufficient.  RIP HEITS

Very sad news, a hero of mine, nobody who has played for us, has given more than Andy did for our club.

RIP Andy
