This ref is dire....they're getting away with so many late challenges on our front two.

He's been the ref in one of our games earlier this season. Can't remember which, but I do remember he was rubbish then too

Commentator said it is his first EPL game, first ref outside of Britain and Ireland (Aussie). Ref has been fine. It's a physical battle as expected v West Ham.

Hope Digne isn't out for any length of time, but if it's a hamstring it could be a while.

Ash is OK as a one off here and there, or coming off the bench. But wouldn't be confident with him starting our remaining games.

I'd almost be thinking about Mings @ left back and Chambers/Konsa at centre half, should it come to it.

Think he just went and sat down behind the bench so probably looking at back after next international break.

Young done fine so far but he would struggle if they moved Antonio to the right.

Pretty flat game so far imo, can tell both teams played on Thursday tbh.

We have two subs left so interested what Gerrard does, does feel like Buendia could work today as another pressing option dropping deep in midfield and keep Coutinho in that pocket off the strikers.

Not sure on the other sub. I feel we'll probably be o.k with 0-0.

Buendia/Bailey/Traore for one of the forwards, and Sanson for Luiz, for me.

He's from Gold Coast - seems to be reffing to Aussie Rules standards.

I think the ref has been alright.

You can see why nobody wanted to put this on TV in the UK.

Might be a good game for Sanson too, would add some more coverage in our midfield. Maybe for one of Ings or Watkins?

Definitely

It isn't. It's his sixth Premier League game, second involving Villa after the home draw with Leeds.

I think the ref has been alright.

As Rice puts an elbow into Coutinho’s ear, and he has to stay down to get the call.

Antonio going off you'd think.

Hopefully we can push up a bit more now.

I knew it wasn't his first! I have a relative with the same surname, Gillett, so it stuck in my mind

I only know one West Ham fan. He went to prison last year.

I feel this may be representative.
