Excellent today. Everyone played well. Matty Cash was the MOTM for me. Non stop, good at both ends, end product. Coutinho a very close second. He was sublime again.
Which part of Brazil is Calum Chambers from? Fucking hell. Credit to him, because many assumed he'd come as a fourth choice. He's going to take shifting on current form and the quality he's showing on the ball is particularly impressive.

Another assist for Ings today. He's leading our assist charts.

Biggest thing for me that suggests things are looking good for the end of this season, going into next... a bench with Konsa, Sanson, Ash, Bailey, Beundia, Traore and the kids. Sanson and Emi2 looked good when they came on. Sanson in particular. Douglas and McGinn are bang on form at the right time too and will need to be with Sanson on their heels.
The squad looks in good shape, and we've still got the likes of Archer to come back next season too. There's a lot of quality.  It genuinely seems like a together bunch (look conversely at the state of some EPL clubs. There's 4-5 rotten dressing rooms).
We're 2-3 signings away (on top of tying up Coutinho) from pushing top 6 I think.

Wow - didn't think this would happen and we made it look so easy.

I think if Sanson comes in it'll be for Ramsey maybe. He's been great this season but the one player not absolutely at his best the last couple of games. The strong squad seems to be geeing lots of players up.

I think Sanson will start the next day ahead of Ramsey, definitely a tidy footballer there. Solid sub appearances and first man on last two games.

Thought Sanson looked sharp when he came on and had a good cameo.

Complete performance.

My only 0.1% gripe was that last sub should have been Chuck or Tim.

Yeah, I didn't see the point in Young coming on either.

Fantastic win. Again, should have been more than it was but musn't grumble about 9 goals in three games I suppose.

Ash has been solid and deserves his place.  10 minutes isn't enough time to win a game, the young lads need 20 to have time to settle into a game.  Gerrard was protecting the clean sheet and we'd all have been annoyed to conceed at the death.

Apologies for my poor maths I've been putting up fences all day and am absolutely wiped out.  Lucky I have my favourite pedants to keep me on the straight and narrow  =P

A great win, I think we are on the verge of something here. Sign Phil and he will be the catalyst for an exciting period in our history.

Their manager looks like he hasn't got a clue.

Looks like and sounds like.

He reminds me of Sherwood.

The last three results just serve to underline what a waste those games against Leeds (home) Watford and Newcastle were. Eight points dropped, with even six more points we would be right in the Europa qualification mix.

;D ;D That's the most unexpected, hilarious Villa vid I've probably ever seen.

1-2-3 Stevie G!!! 8)

Coutinho - https://streamwo.com/v/2gk2a65b
Cashinho - https://streamwo.com/v/rb93w571
Chambinho - https://streamwo.com/v/zvh7sj6p

That was one heck of a strike by CC
Cash took his goal exceptionally well, too.

I could see the point of Young coming on. If Leeds got a bit shirty towards the end then Young is streetwise. He will get involved and be a shit house. He knows how to stir it up. It was a safe sub for me.

The Watford defeat may have been one of those blessing in disguise results. We've looked a lot better, more organised and happier since. Dropping Buendia as well was a brave  call but the right one so far.
