Grateful for, and relieved with the three points.

Agree with most, result was most important today. Didn't play well at all, but neither did they and we edged it. Whoever scored the first goal would probably go on to win.

Hopefully this doesn't mean Gerrard thinks that Ings and Watkins is the way to go.

Not pretty, the ref didn't help though. Our passing is still very poor and we always look rushed and not composed.

The form of Luiz is worrying, he is not himself at all. Watkins still hasn't got that self belief and his first touch is shocking. Great finish Fromm him though, maybe that will do his confidence some good.

MIngs and Cons very solid as were both full backs. Ramsey and McGinn battled well in midfield.

We scored when we needed to, defended well with Emi Martinez's first save coming on 79 minutes and managed the game well in the last 15 minutes. We didn't play very well at all though but we didn't have to - a better side than Brighton would have taken advantage of our numerous errors. The referee was abysmally atrocious and that is being generous.

Wasn't able to tune in till 4.30. So why was it delayed, exactly? Info thin on the ground

Many lorries are now making their way to the midlands laden with  humble pie. Mainly for people of this parish. The meltdown following the team announcement was ridiculous.  Me.. well I'm VTID

I aspire to be as amazing as you.

Three points! Feels kind of strange. Can't remember the last time Villa didn't ruin my weekend.
Industrious first half, organised and though not producing much, never really threatened in the 2nd. Two great goals will give them something to show in the highlights.

Another vote for SJM as MOTM.

No complaints from me if every away game from now on is exactly the same.
Clean sheet ✔️
Watkins back scoring ✔️
Tim Iroegbunam got a few minutes ✔️
Sanson on at the end ✔️

Utter bollocks, the team selection was never right, we won against a very poor Brighton side!

Accident on the motorway, and the coach was caught up in the traffic

Stopped the rot, which was what was needed. Solid enough and a couple of moments of quality. Ollie needed that goal.

Crash on the road in causing traffic chaos. Villa bus stick in it.
