The issue we have is Klopp. he decides when we will be looking for a new manager, probably.

Gerrard will only be offered the job if he is a success at Villa.

Plus he's probably wise enough to let another manager fail first rather than taking over straight after someone as successful as Klopp.

I don't think there is any doubt Gerrard will take the job if offered.  However, I would say we are several years away from that still.

100m + spent.

13 points behind Wolves in the league table.

All very Aston Villa in the 21st century isn't it?

Can’t believe our generous owners will be too impressed.

Not worried about relegation but not at all optimistic that we’re on the brink of a successful future.

same, it looks like the project has stalled.
We wasted the Greasy money and now look rudderless.

I just keep coming back to the summer, really, and that first signing. If it's some hulking DM who treats every attempt to pass through him like a personal affront, I'll give days like today a pass. If it's Luis Suarez on a free, then we're in for the same old bollocks and another rebuild next January.

Be nice if we could sign some players most of us had never heard off and who turn out to be stars. We just seem to sign the obvious ones and on big money. E.g. Digne, Ings, Emi2, Traore, Bailey. A big rebuild needed. The tweaking to the existing squad I was hoping for under SG just hasn’t worked

I really, really thought we'd have used the academy players more by now.

Currently we’re the most mid table team it’s possible to be. 10th, we routinely lose to everyone above us and generally beat those below us. We’ve become predictable, boring and going absolutely no where.

I can’t see that changing at all between now and the end of this season.

I get the impression that every team we play has a game plan where we play as if it's every man for himself.

Nah. Just pissed off.

We could do with a positive result against a team above us to give us some hope again mind.

Yeah agree not worried as such, but we’re so bloody flat at the moment.

A few years ago, and for a few seasons I could only dream of being mid table. A lot still needs to be done and hopefully quickly, not worried just not really impressed

As you climb a mountain, the oxygen gets thinner, the real estate smaller, the margin of error becomes minimal and the climb harder.

The leap from 10th to top 8 next season will be hard and harder than the leap from 13th to Play Offs. From Championship to staying up. From survival to consolidation.
