Well, given Gerrard heavily implied changes were coming after Newcastle, and it's just the one, you have to say anything other than a drastically improved performance is going to reflect badly on him.

We can only assume he's seen a decent reaction from the first-eleven in training.  If we see a similar first-half to Newcastle I can imagine the crowd will get a little restless.  A nice early goal will settle everything down.

I'm backing Ings to get a brace today.

Changes you say Stevìe? 🤷‍♂️

Line-up suggests he's leaning more towards things being hunky dory.
With that formation again we need some heroes to win today.

The issue isn’t so much that he didn’t make the changes - it’s that fact he said he would then didn’t.  It’s already starting to sound a bit hollow

Feels like following the Villa, regardless of manager, is akin to going Up The Hill Backwards.

No, but I can't wait to read the one that is prepared! They should be charging a subscription really.

Disappointing line up but even so this team should be more than good enough to beat Watford, so go and prove me right Villa.

Hope so.

Its bad enough losing against a resurgent Newcastle, but we really should beat Watford.

Hopefully Ings will get a couple, without setting off VAR's toe sensor.

After the performance at Newcastle, Ings is the one change? He's looked worst than Watkins when he has come on.

If they don't show up again today, then the rest of the season feels pretty pointless until we get a DM in.

The club really hamstrung themselves with not getting in a DM in the window. Our options there are either crocked, very young or (on debut showing) a pretty poor CD.

I thought he might bottle it. He was already rowing back in his presser yesterday that maybe a reason for the midfield being shit at Newcastle was cos they were knackered from the Leeds game. So why didn't you change things up for Newcastle then, you dick?

Sorry, we all love McGinn but he's teachers pet under every manager. That's no good when his performances are wank.

To be fair to Sanson he probably sees McGinn get picked every week no matter how shit he's been and thinks 'why the fuck bother in training?'

You might say, who can we play in DM instead of Luiz? But you may as well just chuck Iroegabum in as at least that is his position. I know what Luiz isn't going to do there so I may as well see what Tim can.

It must say more about the potential replacements.
