Martinez

Cash
Konsa
Mings
Dinge

Ramsey
Dougie
McGinn

Countinho
Buendia

Watkins

An age since we've played, but 2 friendlies and a mini-preseason hopefully means we've adopted more of Gerrards ideas.

It picks itself now, but I wouldn't be upset if Ings got the nod over Watkins.  Hopefully after his minutes for Brazil Coutinho will be right up to speed and it will be fantastic to have a fit and firing Berty back on the bench.

As long as Lee bastid Chapman is out for them and Gary Mac doesn't get all misty-eyed watching his old team, we should be gobbling-up the three points here.

Don’t want to jinx it, but……….I think this could be the match where we spank a side off the park AND get the goals we deserve. Reckon we’ll batter them. 4-1. Why not.
Don't do it.
I said this before THAT 2-2 Stoke game...

I hope Lee Chapman is out, because Carl Shutt is shit.

They come into this after a very up and down set of results ranging from  7-0 spanking by CiteŁ to a brilliant win away to an inform West Ham then followed up with a dross loss at home to Newcastle

A very tight 2-1

Buedia + Watkins for us then a late Raphinia free kick to make us all sweat way to much

Just a shame Coutinho and Buendia have been away separately, it would have been nice to have them both around for training and building their understanding with the strikers in particular.

3-1

I don't know why, but I just have this feeling we're going to batter them.

Us 5-1 Them.

I'm thinking similar algy. Have to keep an eye on Raphinha, but with Bamford out they don't have much up front. 4-0.

That’s if Raphina is even fit having gone off injured for Brazil. Phillips is also a continuing injury doubt. So with Bamford seemingly out for sure we won’t have a better chance to beat them. We have to get into them straight away but as they have proven as recently as the game at home vs Newcastle they are not the same high energy side, and everybody’s second team (my arse) that came up.

Yorkshire Whites? Yorkshire Whites Only more like. Marching On Together have set themselves the thankless task of trying to stamp out racism at Leeds for over 30 years without much success. See the Leeds Salute. Leeds are a strange club, a rugby league town that draws in support from former mining villages and very long in the tooth glory hunters from Scandinavia. I can't think of another club whose fans are everywhere when they're winning but disappear or go back to supporting Leeds Rhinos when they're shit, which is most of the time. Not that they're even loyal to Leeds Rhinos. You'll rarely see 'Leeds' and 'loyal' in the same sentence.

They're massively weird. They did a 'Sevco' back in the day and got chucked out of the league for dodgy payments, reformed, did nothing till Revie turned up and made them dress like facists (well, the facists favourite team anyway) and were simultaneously brilliant, despicable, successful and a bunch of bottle merchants.

The first time I encountered them was at home in our promotion season in 88, a match that had to be all ticket because even in that climate their fans were significantly worse than everyone else's.

3-0 to us. I’d go with Ings rather than Watkins in this though

I went to that one. 7.50 on the Holte as I remember. Still had the ticket stub until I chucked away a load of stuff by mistake before I moved to aus, including both league cup final tickets.
