I think unvaccinated players in the PL should be made to play in traditional Dutch wooden clogs until they get doubled vaxed and boostered.

That'd soon change their minds.

Though that would give a very unfair advantage to Burnley.

Ha ha nice one 🤣👍

I can remember getting to Villa Park on Boxing Day 1995 and the game was postponed. It was the last season before under soil heating was installed and the pitch was terrible.
Liverpool at home. I went. Then went home

I remember Man City was cancelled 1993-94 too. I have programs for both the original game and the rescheduled match. Both had the same cover.

Funnily enough I was trying to find a game that was postponed around 94/95 today other day due to heavy snow. I had it in my mind it was against Southampton. That ring a bell with anybody?

Edge, the lateral flow test is the one you do at home where you get a result in between 15 -30 minutes. You may be thinking of the PCR which is the one where you have to wait for the result to come back from the Lab.
That's the one lol
No worries, apologies, didn’t mean to sound pedantic or know all, it’s just that we’ve unfortunately had to become experts on these bloody tests recently. One adult son tested positive ( with both tests) and is now holed up in his flat feeling crappy on his 32nd birthday, another one coughing his guts up in his room in our house ( he had to move back in when his relationship broke up). He’s a teacher and god knows how he hasn’t had it yet , most of his classes and colleagues have. Despite having negative LFTs he was so ill yesterday we decided not to go to the match before it was cancelled anyway and he drove to the centre to get a PCR. We are now awaiting the result and bricking it. Our 3rd son miraculously didn’t get it when all of the rest of his small company of 6 did , so he’s been doing LFTs twice daily and voluntarily self isolating until recently. And we are now not sure if it’s safe for our fourth son and his wife to come up from London at Christmas.
Sod Covid!
Bloody hell Fred it's all happening in your family. Hope things get a little better for Christmas. My wife had Covid recently and we tried to avoid each other but that's no easy in our house. I tested daily and got a negative result every morning for ten days. I'm at a loss trying to work out just how it transmits. Stay safe.

On the back of the gushing tweet about Rat Boys return, it's another poor piece of PR from the club

It's not the club's fault. Let's face it, there's only one person to blame here with his excessive fate tempting. ;)

Still on?  8)

Yessssssssssssssssssssss  ;D

Less than 24 hours to go and the match is still on  8)

Less than five hours to go and the match still hasn't been called off!

;D ;D ;D

haha

I was just really looking forward to it  :(

I too suffered that Boxing Day cancellation v Man City. I was taking my 4-5 year old nephew and my sister dropped us off. Got to the ground to discover the game was off so went to the club shop to console him - and gain time as there was no transport that day. We then went to the car park and saw the players driving off. I had forgotten this but Yorke was driving out and he wound his windows down to sign autographs. My nephew was starstruck but silent and I said “go on, say hello” to which Yorke blurted a sheepish hello.

Re yesterday I only discovered the game was off just as I got to New street. A pain, but I know a few people who had to bail out yesterday because of positive tests or not wanting to potentially ruin Christmas and felt the game wasn’t certain to go ahead. However I really think there should be a cut off point for cancellations to reduce fans being inconvenienced, say 5 hours before kick off, more where the away fans would have a longer journey.

I had a stroll around Digbeth and the German market then jumped on a train back to London. Brum was pretty busy, but less than I expected. Mask wearing in the station was lower than I would have thought by the way.

Seem to recall a midweek game away to Brighton when we got to that London at about 11.30,left the pub at something past 3.00  and only found out the game was off when we stopped at a cafe just outside Brighton at about 5pm.We carried on to the seaside for a drink and were pleased to find quite a few Villa had done the same.Think the game had been called off aound lunchtime.

Me my Dad and brother all got it in September. Neither my wife or kids, my mum or my brothers flatmate did though. A colleague has had it, then his daughter and much later his son. His wife has never had it at all. Cast iron immune systems!

Great result yesterday. Some lovely movement. Cracking goals in each half by SJM who is revelling in his role under Gerrard and what a good player JJ is becoming. Defence is once again really solid. Oh and fuck off Sean Dyche. You were soundly beaten. Gerrard is proving us all wrong. 5 wins out of 7 is a brilliant return.
