Bit worried about Watkins though. Like he’s playing in flippers tonight.

We're totally bossing it and a fabulous goal by JJ.

Our first attack down the left and we score from it.

We appear to have stopped hoofing from the back and the fucking long throws. More please.

We have! And the one touch passing is great to see, even if we are going round in triangles at the moment (can you go round in a triangle?)

We are well on top but in this , the season of giving, we need to ensure we don't show the usual generosity we have shown in previous years to sides at the bottom of the table.

id noticed the same. A lot more shorter passing. Not sure it would work against every team but if Gerrard is managing and identifying styles to  to work against the opponents every week then I’m ok with that.

Compared to our last opponents, it’s nice to be able to see some of the playing that we are capable of doing. There’s some lovely ball movement tonight

Decent first half, plenty of possession, control and territory, but we haven't really opened them up with passing moves to fashion a clear chance. Our goal was a bit of a one man effort.

Young off and Ings/Carney/Cam/Trez on?

Norwich are dreadful - I'll be fucking fuming if we don't win this.

Norwich are abysmal, Smith’s got no chance there.

They're a poor squad but they're already showcasing many of the hallmarks of Smith's (lack of) management - low press, poor in transition, acres of space between midfielders for teams to pass through. It feels like we are playing the role of the kind of team that beat us too many times over the last few years.

Well on top but not created a great deal, Norwich can't be that bad again.

Honestly didn't think he was great on Saturday. He didn't really press and his movement was poor until the last 15.
