I'd dispute that we were 'really poor' in the second half. There were a few poor performances, Ollie being one, but we restricted them to 1 shot on target, defended well, and then picked them off for the second goal beautifully. Bit of an error for the consolation goal and disappointing not to get the clean sheet, but overall excellent away performance. Gerrard's subs were good too and he is making mid-game tactical tweaks that Smith was simply incapable of doing.
After five losses on the trot then a first win, to win away to a team that hasn’t lost at home all season and were unbeaten in seven I’m not too bothered about a poor second half performance. We are on our way back.
