My oldest had identified this game as the one to take his younger brother to for his first match. That was before the change in manager. He has now withdrawn the offer of giving up his seat as he is excited to see the new guy. Got to be honest its rubbing off a bit. We're going home win.

I think it will be solved by Ings being injured

Tough game but I think the buzz around the new manager will lead to the players putting in a performance. 2-1 win.

I started to vote for us to lose in game one of the ten-game winning streak in the second division, and I obviously take full credit for that. I've done the same ever since. I don't think it's working anymore.

Martinez

Cash
Konsa
Mings
Targett

McGinn
Dougie
Sanson

Bailey
Ings
Watkins

If ings isn't fit, then Buendia to play wide and Ollie up top. Lots of pressing in zones, Dougie more disciplined and the full backs very high.

Yep this team, though Beundia look relatively lively at Southampton, in comparison with the rest, he needs to work harder if he keeps blowing out of his arse by 70 mins.
There a good side, but 3-0 as a flattering result on the day

Think we'll have enough to win 2-1. Late goal like that Targett winner two seasons back.

Brighton actually gone winless longer in prem than we have.

For Gerrard’s sake we need to come flying out the blocks for this. I’d take 1-0, but would like to see us give Brighton a pasting, just so it sets us up.
I reckon we may see a few surprises, with some of the youngsters featuring. I’d maybe do that just to put some of the more senior players on notice, that they aren’t necessarily getting picked on seniority. Bit of a gamble, but if it works, it stirrs everything up nicely. In fairness we could probably play the U23s and reasonably expect them to perform better than the first team squad has over the last few games. Obviously he’ll go with what he sees in the few days of training, but I expect one or 2 surprises. New manager bounce- 3-0 Villa.
