Castore - potential new kit supplier
« on: November 13, 2021, 05:07:07 PM »
So there's a story out there that we're about to sign a deal with this company. They have Newcastle and Wolves already, also looking at Sevilla and Lazio...

Not sure bout this, though I guess we've been offered bigger money..

I bloody hope not! Naff shirts and lots of complaints about product quality from what I've read.

Happy enough with Kappa but if Nas wants to switch us to Adidas then that would be fine too. :)

It's hopefully Twitter clickbait.  There's a sentence in the article saying '...there have been no reports about Castore singing a deal with Aston Villa thus far...'

Ugly overpriced chav-wear.

I think Nas only owns about 5% of Adidas, but given they already do kits, surely that’s enough clout to get us a kit deal with them?

We won’t apparently as that would create a conflict of interest for Nas. It’s also the reason we don’t attract any other top kit suppliers like Nike, puma etc due to competition to his stake

I love the fact that like night follows day, every time a potential new kit supplier is mentioned, at least one comment on here will be along the lines "oh no, their quality is shit!"

To be fair, with Kappa they were right! The kit in the first year was a disgrace. I reckon the wonky badge will be a collector’s item in years to come.

If we get Castore you'll be yearning for the halcyon days of the quality Kappa kits.:)

Is it just me who's never even heard of Castore before now?

No, I'd not. I'd never heard of Under Armour either before their involvement with us.
