In fairness Sanson really isn't a DM, he's more similar to McGinn so going into an away game without a natural DM is pretty risky so Nakamba is certain to start for all his limitations.

Ramsey fit is massive surprise so really it's him or Sanson.

I thought Marvelous did really well the other day, I'd play him tomorrow for sure.

There seems to be a lot of optimism about Sanson. Has he improved that much whilst hardly playing this season? It's always possible, although he's had fewer than 45 minutes in the first team this season (and OK, he was OK).

its desperate, players often get better the longer they are out and the worse we get.

With the news on Sanson and Ramsey, it changes a lot, i’d have them both starting in the middle with McGinn.

Martinez

Cash
Tuanzebe
Mings
Targett

Sanson
McGinn
Ramsey

Beundia
Watkins
Bailey

Fuck it. I'd go 4-4-fucking-2. Pack the midfield. Nakamba in for *tosses coin* Buendia.

Some welcome news on Ramsey being available. Presume we’ll go with the same central midfield that started against West Ham.

He played fine at Chelsea after 6 months out. I know it wasn't their strongest team but was still probably better in some areas than what Southampton will put out.

If he's not happy then give him a chance to show he's as good as he thinks he is. We have to anyway, guy cost 15m so don't think the owners will approve if we're signing players for those prices and move them on without barely starting a game. You can get away with doing that to likes of Engels and Gulibert as 5-7m is hardly anything in modern football. Both also had plenty of starts in first half of 19/20 season aswell.

I think we would have beaten Chelsea in the Cup if he hadn't gone off injured.

I reckon we will stop the rot and get a point in a 1-1 draw.

I’m going for a 2-1 to us. We’re too good to continue playing the way we have and this game will stop the rot

Or some fans want to see something different and to see what he can do?

we have been waiting quite a long time.

Hence why people want to see him. There's nothing desperate about it.
