Few good players missing; Traore, Ings, Luiz and Sanson.

Good to see some changes and four at the back.

Wonder if it’s a 4-4-2 diamond? That’s what NBCSN are reporting.

I can’t watch Sky Sports. 🤮

433 it looks like...that's the way Moyes think it is anyway! Mings hasn't played well lately but with the switch to a back 4 I would have kept him in

Me too, I’d have played him and Konsa together today. I think Mings has really struggled with that crazy system and shot his confidence. Even Konsa has looked average lately.

Big call dropping Mings.

No one should be undroppable, but the risk with that - if not handled sensitively - is you've got an England player unsettled and open to a move.

For all his iffy form recently, there would still be interest in him from top 8 clubs and it's a scenario I'd rather not face.

The irony is today, with the big units West Ham have in the side and their aptitude for set pieces, 3/5 at the back may have made sense.  But we've probably seen enough of it recently to last three life times.

The front three looks promising. Hopefully it clicks. Not sure about that midfield.

Couple of soft tissue issues and a couple of covid issues, says Dean.

Long ball and bypass midfield for Watkins and Bailey to run on to.

So who was crying to require the soft tissue?

The big calls in dropping players only work if you win.

Defeat today and the casual Villa watchers will blame dropping Mings.

Sanson didn't like the toilet paper at Bodymoor.

Decent line up.  Let’s hope Nakamba wants the ball today.

Glad of the switch from 3 cbs, big call dropping Mings to bench.
Not sure I would have done that unless Tyrone is not 100%.
Glad to see Bailey and Buendia either side of Watkins.
Midfield poorest area, but we knew this in the summer and it wasn’t addressed. UTV!

I don’t feel comfortable about Smith dropping  Mings. He’s not been alone in being poor and with Bailey playing wide left, I would have dropped Targett and played Hause left back instead.
