Buying tickets online
« on: October 26, 2021, 11:51:55 AM »
Wondered if anyone had some kind of hints & tips for buying tickets off the official site.

My little girl has recently become very interested in football, and he's asked "can I go and see a match?" "Of course" "Do they play football in Birmingham?" "Well, there is one football club in Birmingham..." "Can we go?' ... Anyway.

I've been trying to get tickets for myself, my dad, and my little girl off the official site. Thing is, the last time either me or my dad went was the 5-0 win against Bristol City the season before the promotion season, and my girl's not been at all. Can't seem to use my old Ticketmaster IDs as the 'fan id', so created 3 new accounts but it's now saying that I can only buy '1 ticket per event per history', and so effectively only one ticket between all 3 of us.

Am I performing some kind of rookie error here?

Sounds mad. I would give them a ring. Sometimes they're a bit wary if we are playing Man U or Liverpool as they worry about away "supporters" sitting in the home end. But surely should be alright for the likes of Brighton or whoever else we have coming up. If you explain should be alright, I'd have thought. Alternatively, contact AVFC Support on Twitter.

I’m not the most tech savvy fan but I’m not completely thick. Yet I still end up pulling out clumps of my hair every time I try to allocate a ticket to another person’s reference when I’m ordering online. I spent over an hour last night trying to sort out Brighton tickets and allocate them to others - who are already members

1 ticket per fan ID , so if you want 3 tickets you'll need 3 fan ID's .

you also need to link their fan id's to yours, then you can allocate each ticket to the correct person.

Last I heard he wasn't well so perhaps better to say nothing even in jest.

On this topic it's bloody ridiculous the hoops you have to jump through to buy tickets for any ground now. Villa have got the sort of system that would have had us up in arms years ago and even Stourbridge have got online booking and no cash at the turnstile now. Even for their youth team.

I wish him well - and I was being serious about him being able to sort stuff out. Helped me out so many times….
