Watkins and Ings is not working.

I’ll be honest, Ings is starting to look like a panic buy to placate the fans when Greasy was sold.
Southampton must be having a larrrf having robbed us off £25M.

I can't tell if you're joking?  Do you really think that Ings isn't worth £25m in today's market?  I find that bizarre if so.

The only positive is that we are only 1-0 down but Dean needs to knock some heads together at half time. It's been a shocker against a side who have stunk the place out for weeks.

Come on Dean sort this out!

I'd take Ollie off but dean will think it will fuck his England time up ... He needs to stop the extra touches ....

No fluidity to the movement, no runs off the ball like previous matches. Game plan isn't working, can anybody remember DS changing things for the better at half time and it being a success?

On that showing I can only see us chasing the game in the second and being caught out, looks like a  2-0 final score for me.

First 10 was great but we allowed them to get a foothold.
Ramsey and McGinn are lively but making errors all over the place.
Poor display so far.

Slightly better end to the half, no great moves but we are at least getting on end of the second balls from set pieces on edge of the box.

The crowd will get nervous if this stays 1-0 so just got to play on that and keep probing.

Front two been very disappointing though. Just two goals from them all season so both far from undroppable or at least to be subbed.

Spurs, probably the better team but only slightly,  have had one good chance and they've taken it.  We've had a few half-chances but nothing clear cut.  Watkins has been shit, as has McGinn.  The aggression from last week at Old Trafford hasn't bee there since the first ten minutes. Maybe they're knackered.

Better end to the first half.
Time for Dean to earn his money at HT.
I’d like to see Bert and Buendia get some minutes.

Watkins, Ings and Ramsey all poor. McGinn given it away too often. Mings getting dragged all over the shop by Son.

This formation is not the way against this Spurs. Interesting to see how long before we change it. 4-3-3 killed them last season pushing Regullon etc back and winning the ball early. Hojberg has been given the freedom of the park.

Overall - shit.

It’s all a bit Wimbledon, throw-ins & corners. We’ve taken all the creativity out of the team. We can’t keep the ball & put 3 passes together.
