Presume young out wide and Buendia 10.

I have a weird feeling that Young will play close to Luiz, with Chuk as a 10.

Not a bad lineup I’m thinking given injuries/illness. Good luck to the lads

Well do well to get a point I think...too many experienced players missing and brentford can trouble us in ways newcastle couldn't.  Still just walking up now and for once nice to breath the aston air!

The more worrying thing for me is these rumours keep leaking out. As for the team, horses for courses. Dean has young in their for his experience and leadership, with what is essentially a team with young players or inexperienced at this level. He could of Hourihane in or nakamba or philogene bidace and some wouldn’t be happy.

Going to be really tough, if we get a result it will be a great achievement given 6 potential starters not in the team

I’ll do everyone a favour and go and watch my non-league locals rather than find a stream. We tend to win when I’m not able to watch.

Hourihane surely leaving next week so that's why he isn't starting. Brentford will try to play through us rather than launching long balls so can understand axel instead of hause.

I don't understand why Hause isn't coming in, he was excellent last season when called upon.

They hit a fair amount to Toney against Arsenal and it worked.

Axel is a better footballer and more mobile than Hause, and I can see Axel being a decent CB partnership with Konsa.

That's a great point about the leaks.

I think Toney Ings and Buendia will score and Watkins will come off the bench to add to that so 3-1 Villa
I very interested to see how we initially line up
I like the players that we have and hope it works out
Go on Deano!
Up the Villa

Is it just Villa who are blighted by injuries and Covid? FFS!
