Caleb Chukwuemeka/the brothers Chukwuemeka
« on: August 16, 2021, 06:24:03 PM »
In and confirmed for an initial £300,000.  19, and now gives us our second family, alongside The Ramsey's.  Good to see that we are investing more into our youth system.  We have some of the best rated facilities in the country for some time.  After the bullying claims of the previous era under Kmac it probably took some time to rebuild faith in our set up.  We seem to have brought through too little talent in the last 10 years.  Young players from the club are always a little more special, and, whilst many of these are being bought at the end of the youth program, it gives me hope that we are putting a similar level of time and investment into the younger elements of the system, too.

Welcome to VP Caleb.

Hopefully they're more successful than the Karamazovs.

He has already signed a deal with Callaway Golf.

Did we ever get both of the Djembas on the pitch at the same time?

Already Posted this in the transfer thread, but he seems quite quick, with good feet and not afraid to travel with the ball.

I think if you looked at that youtube clip and it was one of our 18-year-olds who'd been on loan at Northampton last season, you'd think from those highlights that they'd done pretty well -  especially playing in a relegated side, and only starting 2 matches (20 of his appearances were from the bench, for a total of 520 minutes all season - that's less than 6 full games).

Let's see how we can develop him over the next year or so!  Welcome to the Villa Caleb!

We must have more players in our youth and under 23 squads than was in the cast for the original Ben Hur film

How quickly we forget our history.  We were never able to see the Djembas both on the pitch at the same time because they only had one work permit.

Watching the video he looks like a clone of his brother that just hasn't been as well coached. Most of the same natural elements are there and all look really natural (I love the rangy Yaya Toure style ball carrying where they're in control but you can't quite work out how, every time it looks like the ball is getting away out stretches a long leg and pulls it back in) but it's all very raw. The good thing is that I reckon both of them have the natural ability to play all over the pitch. Chuk seems, to me, to be destined to become a top quality box-to-box midfielder though.
