Half time can’t come quickly enough, they are properly battering us.
Really?

Yes

Ah well, at least we have learned from the 2015/16 season of the dangers of winning away to a newly-promoted club. We won't be making that mistake again.

Wow.

That was a bad watch.

Watford tactic just to get the ball as quickly as possible to Sarr and they've done it very well. Reminds me of us under MON quickly getting the ball to Young.

Not really sure what we do now, second goal killed any chances of getting even a point today I suspect.

Throw Bailey on and see if he can link with Ings but Watford will just sit back now so won't be much space to run into.

Just have to hope for better next week with a full week's training.

Nakamba is an absolute liability against a pressing team.

But tbh every single player has looked dreadful.
Long season ahead..

We looking woefully under prepared and off the pace. Ings isn’t holding the ball up at all either which doesn’t help

That was very very shit. Like a team playing their first pre season friendly against a fully fit side. Not helped by Dean being ridiculously passive again.

I'm afraid this is why some of us remain unconvinced by Dean's ability to take us where NSWE want to go. I know there are mitigations, I know we're recovering from losing that Joe guy, but this is far from the first time that we've looked like we don't have any sort of plan for attacking. The movements look totally individualised, players holding onto the ball too long, no real idea about moving together and just waiting for someone to do something brilliant by themselves.

I know it's a new team, I know there are injuries, but that was really pathetic. It looks every bit like a one-man team lacking that one man.

Need to score early if we have any hope. I have no faith in smith being able to tuen this around. We all saw it except smith the problems on the keft ams he did nothing.

If bailey was fit his pace would cause them issues he is even quicker than sarr so imagine what he could do.

We have pressed so poorly and counter attacked poorly.

It was really has been a disaster and smiths 100% to blame

Disappointing thing for me is anyone could see Targett was massively struggling after 10 minutes.....yet it took until 40 minutes for us to tweak anything and move AEG over there (who's awful on the right anyway).

It's those little things for me, no way would top level managers like Tuchel try to wait until end of halves to try to change things, they'd be doing it after 20 minutes.

Now we're 2 down and looking impossible to even get a point now with our general lack of tempo.

If he sends us out with no changes after that, I'll be genuinely amazed.

First game I know, but so far Buendia looks like a less robust Carles Gil.
