I think with all the ups and downs of the past few weeks I can see Watford replicating Brentford’s start last night. 2-1.

I'd have started Traore ahead of Young

Our bench looks very dangerous, some real quality to bring on and change the game.

Yes compared to 2 years ago we seem to be well advanced in that respect

If we are going to use the squad this season rather than a first 11, this type of line up will need to appear fairly regularly with the big hitters lined up for the better opposition. This side should be enough to see off watford but it wont be easy.

Good team, think we will win comfortably. Going for 0-3 Ings (2) and Young.

Smith has mentioned he's been impressed with Youngs fitness, he's towards the top of the squad in most fitness stats so hopefully he's perfectly capable of 90 mins.

Traore has been out for a while and isn't match fit, so Young seems a sensible choice to me.

Young is stronger defensively than Bert and will give greater security for the player overlapping from behind. Lined up on the left last weekend and last season Matt Targett got forward a lot, so they might be planning to test Watford's right hand side.

Brentford were buzzing because they were in the top flight for the first time since Harvey Moon* played for them whereas Watford bounce between the Premier League and the Championship almost as much as Albion.

Traore will be a great option to come from the bench so I can see why he's been kept back.

How are the front four going to line up? I pray Dean isn't going to play Buendia out of position.
