The details of the upcoming Carabao Cup Round Two draw have been confirmed.

The draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Leyton Orient's Round One clash against Queens Park Rangers, which kicks off at 7:45pm on Wednesday 11 August.

Supporters can also follow the draw, which will be made on a regional north/south basis, live on Twitter via @Carabao_Cup.

League Cup 21/22
The winner of the League Cup qualifies for the play-off round of the 2022/2023 UEFA Europa Conference
Aston Villa are one of 50 clubs in the second round draw for the EFL Carabao Cup.
The second round draw is Wednesday night August 11th.
Expect the draw to take place somewhere between
930-10pm
The draw will be regionalised on a north/south basis
Broadcast live on Sky Sports
Can also follow the draw live on Twitter via @Carabao_Cup
And be on either Radio 5 or Talk sport radio stations.

Villas 2nd round tie will be played  midweek on August 24th/25th played in between home matches Vs Newcastle and Brentford.

Rochdale been given W/O as Harrogate have Covid in the squad and there's not time to rearrange before the 2nd round date.

That's an incentive to finish higher up the league and qualify for the UEFA Cup or the Champions League to avoid that nonsense.

Hate regionalised draws.

I assume it's done to avoid say Plymouth and Barrow having to play each other mid week. Having said that the National League over the years has had many long distance fixtures which clubs have got on and dealt with.

Can get as big as 50/1 for Villa to win the cup.
Generally around 33/1 still OK before the draw...
