Civic ceremony European Cup
« on: July 10, 2021, 10:45:56 AM »

I was there with my Dad who recently passed away aged 91 a lifelong Villa fan. I have just joined and have numerous photos, programmes, books, newspapers and scrapbooks of his that I know would be over the moon to share with everyone  on here

Sorry to hear that he has passed away, but at least he was around for the greatest moments in our history.

My father in law went to Rotterdam on the ferry.

I went to the Final yet didn't go the reception. How long after the Final was it held? I think I must have been still travelling back from Rotterdam.

That would explain it then. I went by coach and ferry and stopped over the night of the final. A long but joyous journey back from Europe.

It was a Friday night - we watched it and went straight in the Parissiene and met friends who were Blues fans - we ripped it and they walked straight off and kept away all night!.

Superb to see that, all honest and decent blokes and very down to earth
