Regarding the FA Cup Villa, 64 years waiting, have let us down more than England, a mere 55 years waiting.
Villa let us down every year.

I think the issue is that Villa play at least 38 games each season that mean something.

England clearly don't and most of the time the rules seem to change (in thinking of all the subs in friendlies). The international thing just isn't what it should be.

The choice is easy. However, I do want England to win.

Villa always first, England are a bit “meh” especially as I have no confidence in them living up to expectations.

Villa on the other hand have always been way below expectations since I can remember - next season may change that though.

Villa are a presence in every single day of my life. From being at a match, posting on here, reading news articles, watching news reports, drinking out of a Villa mug at home or at work, sitting under a Villa scalf at work, worrying about the next game, moaning about the last, bringing Villa up in any conversation about football, planning trips to games, wishing other teams to lose for rivalry or league position reasons when we're not playing and getting that tiny thrill when something non-football or Villa related is bedecked in claret and blue.

That doesn't happen as far as the national side is concerned so my natural bias is only ever going to be one way.

I would certainly like to see England winning a trophy more than Villa winning an opening Premier League game which is just one game out of thirty eight. But I am far more emotionally invested in Villa than England. So I would take Villa winning a trophy over England winning a trophy anytime.

Always Villa for me. In recent years I’ve struggled to sleep at night stressing about the Villa and my mood has always been very much affected by results. As for England, really hope they win but if they lose I won’t get that awful feeling the day after like I do with Villa.

I'd take the England win over a single PL game providing it wouldn't get us relegated. It's been a long time coming and I've lived through all of it. Having 2 Villa players in the squad makes it more special too. I'd like England to win it for Jack and Tyrone more than anything, more than for myself anyway. I couldn't possibly want England to lose with them in the squad. They're our lads and they haven't done anything for me to wish that upon them.

The next time I meet a fan who wants his national side to win more than his club team will be the first time.

Just me who couldn't sleep last night and feels like he does on the day of our Wembley trips then?

I've been teaching the noses at work the words to 'Super Jack' for weeks, today's the day.

I eat, sleep, breathe and my principal reason for existence is to support Aston Villa.  The national team and the hysteria surrounding it is a media creation.  I am more interested in whether Mark Cavendish beats Eddy Merckx's record in the Tour de France than whether In gur land win today.

Villa occupies my thoughts from when I wake up to when I go the sleep, and more.
Over years I have missed family events, planned holidays, work shifts, even skived off to be at Villa Park for a game.
I will never, ever feel the emotions that I have while watching Villa, watching a England game.

For me it’s no contest…Villa.

If England lose there will be temporary disappointment followed by a shrug of the shoulders and off we go. If Villa lose…it’s an entire weekend or week ruined until the next game. And it will consume us in a way watching England never will.
