7.

They better beat the slum-dwellers next week or I'd be searching for a new manager.

It was a weakened team and they were playing the second best team in the league, in fairness.

Carla has improved the team from last season and will no doubt be expected to continue that next time.

Brighton conceded seven against Man City at the w/end. I don't think they're calling for Hope Powell to be sacked.

It's a very strange league, given the huge gap in quality between the top four and the rest of the league.  I've only ever watched two women's fixtures, and the standard of the team in the top four was so far above their opponents it was like watching a premier league side playing a non-league side in the FA Cup.

It's only been a fully professional league for four years, and sometimes that shows. It will take time I think before the level is brought up such that the entire league is a bit more competitive.  The Women's Championship is still part-time, so it's no surprise to see promoted teams struggle, the gap is wider than in the men's game.  I'd love to see a successful women's team at Villa, and I hope over the next few years we can reduce close that gap to the top four in the way we hope the men's team will.

Does anyone have any idea what the parking situation will be with the game on Sunday - will the club have any car parks open?  We usually go on the train to home matches, but with it being Sunday morning and presumably fairly quiet I was thinking that it would be easier to park close to the ground for this.

8,367 there, which I think is easily our highest ever attendance. I keep meaning to get along to one of these games.

Do Pravda not have live audio of this? I've logged-in and can see they're still trying to flog tickets for this game but no match-day coverage even for VillaTV+ subscribers like myself.
