Are we absolutely sure the net profit from player sales v purchases relates to players in the a squad only? From memory I thought that was a misreading of the judgement at the time.

Trade Nation and Betano still showing on the website, but El Gouna Red Sea has gone.

I wonder if we are still looking to continue the partnerships with those first two in some way. There's no reason Trade Nation can't carry on if they will pay the rate, and Betano could feature elsewhere I suppose.

The El Gouna deal had a family connection to Sawiris, I believe. It came in mid-season, so I am not sure if it was something to help out or was a genuine deal.

Every team who played them and lost must feel the same .  However do they have a trophy and champions league to show for it though

Didn't UEFA or the Premier League intervene when we were selling players to Chelsea and Everton because they reckoned we were deliberately inflating the fee?

Brighton and Tottenham are exchanging a couple of £50 million centre-halves that I have never heard of.

I think they (the PL) wrote a letter enquiring about it. UEFA however told us that any positive financial effect of us selling Ramsay to Newcastle and buying Osulu (sp?) from them would be viewed as a swap deal for SCR purposes. So we didn’t buy Osulu because we wanted the Ramsay fee to count in our favour. That’s all in my hazy memory of the situation.

Thanks. I'll see what happens with this Tottenham malarkey, then.

Nothing would have happened to us, apart from the incoming money not being SCR positive. That probably wouldn’t affect Tottenham.
