In a totally unrelated note. There was definitely the talk of a premier league owner being questioned about historical allegations, someone who may or may not have had the super-injunction about blocking his name lifted.
Yes I read the same and was worried - particularly when the Eden thing came out.

Worth looking at part two, seems more believable as to who it really is.

Who is it as I’m not on TikTok so can’t see Part 2.

It’s the spiritual leader of a religious group coming to meet UK members of said group. You see him alight the plane dressed in all the gear.

Burnley turned Everton over for the tune of £40m owing to PSR breaches.

Feels like the sort of precedent / judgement that could make any sort of sporting penalty* against Man City very expensive for them.

If Everton’s appeal fails this could get interesting

Apparently, Everton had already settled with Leeds over it, but out of court.

Yeah, I saw that and wondered how much Leeds accepted. Less than a year of Calvert-Lewin goals, presumably.

It appears Burnley’s claim is in a very different context.

Yep. Leeds finished seventeenth, they didn't get relegated. Assume their claim would just be for the slight difference in prize money they would have got by finishing one place higher. Burnley were claiming for damages for being relegated which is an astronomical cost in comparison.

It does seem to open up the possibility of Forest being sued for their four points deduction which was retrospectively applied for offences in the 2022/23 season. Had those points been deducted at the time then Everton would have finished one place higher and Leicester would have finished one place higher... and stayed up.

Perhaps Everton wouldn't want to pursue compensation while still appealing their own penalty paid to Burnley.
