The land in Cobham probably is worth something like that. Houses there cost a fortune.

The three B's (Brentford, Bomo and Hove) are attractive to up and coming players from abroad as they will get more game time there and a year or two of solid runs in the team to eventually thrive in some instances.

That's not a privilige granted so easily at the top clubs like us. We already have established players who are operating in the top four of the PL and latter stages of European competition. The bar is higher at the Villa than at the G-Tech Community.

We typically have an extra 10 European games (or whatever), that must be quite appealing to an up and coming player.

The most important part is scouting and identifying talent.

I wonder how many reports this weekend will mention how wonderfully unpredictable the Premier League is, something that makes it the best league in the world, Bournemouth beating Arsenal away from home being the shining example, yet with the new PL financial rules being adopted, guess which club is to suffer the most?

I'll give you a clue; it ain't Arsenal. It's not even us. Their stadium holds 11,307.

The rules are clearly shit, but ground improvements don't count against debt for FFP purposes. They've only themselves to blame that they're still playing in a ground with a smaller capacity than Man City's subs bench after about a decade of Premier League cash.

He still lurks. He found me on Instagram and criticised my posts on here. I used to support him on H&V but I'm glad he's banned. He'll see this and send me a message, complaining and crying.

They didn't own the stadium for years. And have looked at moving or expanding.

Well done them. They still could easily have afforded a new ground by now. Better late than never.

They're historically a third tier club, they're right not rushing to spunk money on a stadium they've spent their history not having the support to fill. The odds are high that it won't be long before they aren't a regular top flight club again.

They've been top flight for a decade-ish, and have a wealthy owner. Of course, they don't have to go out and get a massive ground. But I don't think we should be sympathetic to them for having limited revenue as a result of their own choice to have a small ground.

Wigan, Swansea and others had their spells in the sun and it didn't last. I don't feel sympathy for them, just see the sense in them being more thoughtful about what's sustainable for a club their size rather than thinking they should just get a bigger ground because, well, because.
