They should replicate the UEFA rules so decisions can be made on one set of rules.

Quite why different rules exist for domestic and European competitions seems quite ridiculous.

However I’d suspect the cold dead hand of the “European Football Clubs” has ensured the SCR rules have been bought in in a hurry to stop the insurgent next group of English clubs joining the Greedy 6 and making it harder for Barca/Real/Juve/Inter etc to be squeezed. Of course the greedy 6 will go along with it whilst keeping a low profile and proclaiming “not me guv”.

We can't have Brighton having as much money to spend on players as Juventus.

So Chelsea's losses in 23/24 were 175m. They carry on spending and double their losses to a record 355m in 24/25. Meanwhile we're having to stitch together a team made up largely of player we released previously. Make it make sense!!

They make a fortune selling players, their revenue is bigger than ours, they got £100m for winning the Club World Cup, but if things continue like this for them they will run into the same problems we have. It’s just that because of the above, losses need to be bigger before it impacts them. It’s not very complicated really.

We are, however, much less burdened by Tory smarm.

No it hasn’t. It’s actually improved. It’s our SCR position which has got worse.
