A thought occurred to me, is the UEFA SCR based on the squad you enter for the competition or your whole squad?

I'm currently reading States of Play by Miguel Delaney. It's both informative and depressing in equal measure on the financial/political side of football.

Not sure, but getting rid of Profit & Sustainability rules is an opportunity for owners who don’t mind losing money - hopefully ours included - thanks to the irrelevance of the P in PSR.

As I see it, we can spend what we like from 26/27 on marketing, to drive the all important bit - revenue. May take the pressure off selling academy players too, although that would still count as revenue I think, so probably not.

Feels a bit like we're scraping the bottom of that barrel now though.

It doesn't feel like there is now a Grealish to get £100m, a Ramsey to get £40m, or even a Kellyman / Archer to do a £20m fudge now.

I wonder if there isn't a three-month old post-it note in Vidagany's office that says something like "Louie Barry? 20 goals and Sheff U win the league? £20m Summer '26?"

Brighton are 'monitoring' Bogarde, according to the Beeb rumours.

The Barrenchea cash should arrive this summer too.  A few others left on loan with a view to a permanent moves this summer; Bailey, The RB, the CB?

Enzo is doing well and the money might come early as I think he’s already hit the trigger. None of the others are doing much. Ned and Bailey have been injured, and Ozcan hardly plays.

It’s crazy that there is now part of the business of the club that as well as buying and training a first team squad, there’s a separate group trading other players to make profit to fund the other squad. Whilst they make good money there is an element of trading young men as commodities which make me feel uneasy. Chelsea, to be fair to them, realised this first.

I’ve just started that and I’m also finding it quite a depressing read.

Until he tired, and then he was a liability.

But yes, physically immense. Our boys were bouncing off him.

Yep Baleba was good for the first hour of the game then fell off a cliff. Is he the new Carlos Sanchez?
