Yes, taken aback by the support for Barkley.

Yep it’s shocking to support a player who’s turning out for Villa.

Evertons defence is there to be got at so to do the exact same thing we’ve done week in week out that hasn’t been working is v strange.

As you know, I obviously didn't mean that- let me rephrase then, I didn't think Barkley had earned the right to start.

Given that we've already said we won't be signing him, I see no point to us continuing to pick Barkley.

Remember Purslow wanted it put on record we wouldn't be using the loan model after we got promoted?  We've used it for Barkley and Drinkwater since then and got our fingers burnt

I'm completely over this season.

Do we really need both Elmo and Hause on the bench when Hause can cover either positions? Why not blood some hungry youth? Is 15 minutes really too much when we're safe? Anything is better than watching Traore, Barkley and El Khazi do nothing for 95% of the match.

The state of this thread and we haven't even had the opportunity to cock up in the game yet.

We need the Scooby Doo gang to come and remove the Dean Smith mask being worn by imposter Paul Lambert. Until that happens, we go again..

I keep agreeing with you. It's most troubling.

It's ridiculous isn't it? We played well last week as did Barkley.

The comment above your's is fucking nuts. Goldie's completely over with this season. Myself, I've rather enjoyed this season.

It's Traore that's the one who should have been dropped. Feel sorry for Davis really and it's poor management from Smith, even if he doesn't rate him much. Davis came on and got a point for us last weekend. Surely deserved a start in a game that has very little riding on it.

It always surprises me how a number of  people on the pre match threads are confident Smith will change the formation.

However, it never surprises me that he doesn't.

I think Smith does rate Davis. He just doesn’t want to change the shape. The wuss
