What were you expecting?
There’s not a great deal you can do, though.
If you look back at all the previous training merchandise it’s all the same type of gear, so it’s bound to have a similar look to the previous lot.
Have to admit that the prices surprised me

The club need to start to calm down as to how much they can grab off the fans.  Its starting to look like pure greed.   I have been going the game since we got back in Div 2 70's and we hit highs and lows.  Obviously at the present time we are on a high as far as the fan base and attendances go, but like it or not it will not always be the case.  Mind you even  then Villa come out with some crap ideas such as the away ticket scheme.

Maybe they'll need to give season ticket holders hefty discount %s on official gear to shift enough of it.

I'd rather donate £80 to the club than buy any merchandise. It's all plastic tat and feels like wearing tin foil. I've only ever worn an official shirt with a t-shirt underneath.

Make a shirt out of natural fabric and take the sponsor off, then I might be interested.

It sems the difference between the training kit prices for Wolves and Villa is that Wolves manufacture all thier non pro range stuff themselves under licence form Castore, so set their own prices (and possibly cheaper quality etc) whereas Villa have a contract with fanatics / Castore for all our kit - the same as Rangers.  Prices for the pro shirts should be similar.

That still doesn’t justify us charging 80 odd quid for a hoody and silly money for kids’ clobber.

When we talk about things being a disgrace, the price of this stuff absolutely is.

Still, at least none of it looks Saudi-Arabian.

I'll definitely be waiting for the end of season bargain bin to get any stuff.  These prices are a kick up the bollocks, especially on top of the season ticket increase.

Some Newcastle fans who ordered shirts online are getting them without a sponsor.
