Surprised to see Barkley starting and disapointed not to see Ramsey and Davis start. The midfield will need to be at it as it looks a bit weak. It's brave from Smith though in an attacking sense which is what some people want.

I'd rather jam red hot pokers in my eyes than see Barkley play for us again. Fucks sake.

Some of the language and attitude on here is bizarre given the game hasn't even kicked off yet.

I mean I get used to it after 60 mins if we're losing etc but really?

Can't believe Ross is in the matchday squad, let alone the starting 11?! What the hell is Smith watching to warrant a starting place for him over literally ANYONE ELSE in our squad - He'd better hope it pays off or it's gonna be hellfire on here at FT (or post Line of Duty at least!).

I'll call it here first - Another inept performance from Dross, and we'll be a goal or two down and he'll sub him for Keinan in the 65th min.

I'm stunned.... Absolutely stunned. What message does this send to the rest of the squad when a player who couldn't break wind, let alone break into a run gets in ahead of the other midfielders. Shocker from Dean, that.

Try not to take it all too seriously, would be my advice.

Advice that Ross usually follows.

Ollie Watkins just walked down the tunnel with the club doctor. Let’s hope they are having a chat about their favourite flavour of jam, biscuits or sauce and not discomfort in an important hamstring or the like.

Agreed. It’s all a bit melodramatic. He’s not played well and maybe this is a mistake. But it’s hardly worth losing ones mind over before a ball has been kicked.

Not really sure who else should be starting. I mean Nakamba stays in and it's a pretty negative midfield selection.

Easy - Ramsey.

He's dipped a little for me in recent times. Not as confident in his early outings so think impact sub for last 20 to add more energy is right way to go for this.

I'm prepared to defend the negativity, if that's what you're referring to.
We're safe in mid-table and have some promising youngsters: why not play a couple?!

Someone said on another thread they were worried that if the crowd was allowed in, they'd be booing decisions automatically by now. It looks as if there's some truth in that!

It's ok. Dean will move Elmo to centre forward, Konsa to right back and will bring Engel's in.  All sorted ;-)
