Let’s hope he picks Sterling in a bid to get his confidence up. He looks completely shot as an attacking force.

FFS, mate.

I would love to be proven wrong, but how many times have we seen a side out of form or a striker who hasn’t scored for yonks get rejuvenated by Villa. A properly distracted team, champions league semi, league cup final coming up. Hopefully they rest lots of players. I’d be chuffed with a draw.

Think we will lose but have a better score than the AVFC ladies team.

We were good up there, despite losing, but then we were playing well at the time. We’re largely still out of form as we have been for months. They didn’t play well yesterday but Chelsea are better than us, I also thought they did play really well against Dortmund. Can’t see us causing them too many problems attacking wise if smith stick to the tried and tested. On that I really would like to see Davis in now, with Trez and Jack out there are limited options wide and with Barkley I think likely to be bombed out, it really does shout out time to change it up. I think we’ll lose but would like to see this team.

Martinez
Cash
Konsa
Mings
Targett
Luiz
McGinn
Ramsey
Watkins
Davis
Traore

I know we are running out of options but we can't have Traore starting in his current form. We are effectively starting with 10 with him in the team. This isn't the game for AEG either. There's more chance of Paul McGrath starting instead of Engels so we might aswell picking a team with an eye to next season. I'd like to see a front three of McGinn, Davis and Watkins, something a bit different. It's going to be a tough night for us I expect.

Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett, Luiz, Ramsey, Nakamba, McGinn, Davis, Watkins

Kevin De Bruyne won't be playing for sure and there will be plenty of rotation again for Man City who look pretty jaded.

I think there's a chance here for Villa.
I can see Barkley , Nakamba and Elmo in the line up.

Barkley off Watkins and Nakamba in a 3 man midfield sitting with Douglas Luiz.

Elmo out wide supporting Cash.

If that’s the team, I’ll be watching from behind the sofa, with a blindfold on. Oh, and ear plugs.

1-5

David White to score 4.

Failing that, 3-1 - Daley to score a dipping volley on green sand.

No point playing this. Seen bits claiming the league is starting this August so let's sit it out.

If Man City have quit European Club Association, does our game even go ahead?

If they’re no longer effectively part of UEFA or FIFA, it’s a non sanctioned game?
