Watkins got to the ball first based on the angle they didn’t show to the ref. But the Fulham player then gets the ball cleanly. No idea why they had to get the ref to look at a monitor.

I thought it was a certain pen on the first two replays, thought Lemina barely moaning to the ref was a tell tale sign. On others it does look Fulham player toed the ball but replays were hardly from great angles to be clear.

Was actually more annoyed a few minutes before when the Fulham player just slipped over and Traore got called for the foul when he'd passed it to Ollie, can't believe he didn't just play on and let VAR sort that.

I agree, Smith has been very patient with thus syetm.and El Ghazi/Traore. Its just not happened post return. Getting somebody closer to Watkins is worth a go.

Barkely and Davis on, wingers off.
fully agree, Watkins again looks very lonely --not an impressive first half---need to improve if we want the points,

Deano is seemingly incapable of changing from 433 or playing without Jack. It will cost him his job at some point.

Yep, go 2 upfront and have Barkley roaming behind them. It might not work but 4-3-1-2 is worth a go second half rather than the more predictable let Trez have a run around for last 25 minutes.

We will no doubt toss Davis on with 15 to go. It will be utterly useless. That why I said before, play him from the start if you want to see if it can work. He won’t score but maybe his presence allows us to play a different way and he can bring other players into the game. This will be the same old same old yet again.

We haven't played any decent attacking football since Burnley and we even contrived to lose that. We're as dull as fuck to watch, no spark, no flair, no zip.  It's like watching a pudding slowly set.

I feel really sorry for Watkins. The attacking players around him seem to have no idea of how to play to his strengths. However this is about being on the training pitch and coaching and how we play.

Swap Traore/ Trez/AEG for one decent player, we’d be so much better off

True to an extent....but when he does get it his touch is really poor.

Villa Park seemingly turning more into a beach for Villa with each passing game.

I agree. It won't take much, we really are carrying two players in every game at the moment.
