Barkley is a fine player who shouldn't currently be in the first team but, with Jack out, now should be. All of these things can be simultaneously true.

Leicester do seem to be our sliding door moments team. Building around jack is great but let’s hope we have a plan b. Would settle for a 1-1 but worry it will be a field day for the crisp munching blues.

Strange decision to buy Sanson and then more or less ignore him .Have been dreading all season any injuries for Grealish ,Cash and Watkins  and we get two at once  ,typical villa luck

How is he ignoring him? He's new to the club and just settling in, Dean is doing what the majority of managers would sensibly do.

I think we've been pretty lucky with injuries so far this season to be honest.

Continually playing a player who is unfit and out of form not only leaves us short handed on the field but also restricts the development of youth in Ramsey case and the integration of sanson

Some people want to get a grip and stop moaning and instead get behind the team ..... afraid its typical Villa fans ...... is someone starting a Deano out campaign if we lose today ...it wouldn't surprise me reading this rubbish

Here come the "Better fan than you" brigade....

Well he's not going to get a better chance to show what he's about. I strongly suspect he'll be shit again though.

We definitely have. I look away whenever Ollie Watkins goes down.

Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but I'm content with the starting eleven given the squad... we've played badly with a 1st choice recently, so just depends on performance. Hopefully we've used the training week to work on this line up. Looking forward to Elmo finding El Ghazi at the back stick for our first!

I remember the gloom around the ground v Bristol city a couple of seasons ago when Jack was declared unfit just before kick off..we won with one of our best performances of the season...it’s be nice for something similar.
Sansom I think is one for the future, good to see we are showing some belief in our kids
Come on Villa, let’s have a great team performance!
