I would go with that aswell, but pretty sure he will play Barkley. If we give them 20 attempts on goal it could get ugly.

I think the difference may be the strength of the respective benches. They’ve got inehanacho who tore us a new one previously. Really tough one this. Hopefully it’s a good one to watch.

Elmo for Cash. El Ghazi in for Traore after 60. Unchanged else. Barkley to score. Top performance from back five again. We win. Easy.

Not claiming to be an ITK at anything, but if you come back on here just after 1pm, I should have information for you on whether Grealish plays today.

All the games I’ve expected to lose this season we have won and vice versa. I expect to lose today so.....

1-2 to them

Whoever plays we’re going to need to be a hell of a lot better than we were last week.

As Grealish is carrying a problem I think it's imperative the team step up.
Also to introduce a starting place for Sanson

                  Martinez;
      Elmo, Konsa, Mings, Targett
                Luiz,
           McGinn Sanson
           Traroe   Barkley
               Watkins

My concerns would be the Elmo and Traroe defensive side of things in our regular formation so would tweak it to have McGinn right side

What problem is he carrying? I’d love to know.

Though we needed to introduce a bit more graft anyway. Certainly do now with Cash and maybe Grealish out. Trez wide right, Traore left and Sanson in for Barkley. Barkley and Ghazi options off the bench.

Mcginn, Luiz and Barkley are going to have to really step it up today both ball retention and work rate wise. All 3 have been poor since our covid break. Without the King we need 100% improvement from the entire midfield.

I've not been that impressed with Barkley and have wanted him dropped to the bench, though I don't think Dean would actually do this irrespective of injuries. That said if JG is out injured then Barkley needs to step out from Jack's shadow starting today and start playing like the £30-£40m pound player he seems to think he is (and chelski also).
His time to show his worth is running out. Let's hope he can start today with consistent, meaningful performances. UTV!

If Grealish is out then Barkley has to play - I'd play Elmo at RB with Trez in front of him.

Unless Konsa plays right back and Engels comes in?

I agree with playing Trez, get the Egyptian brothers down the right. If Elmo doesn't get support down that side, Barnes will kill him.
