I've just read that Kirkland Laing died earlier in the week.
Truly gutted to read this...forever remembered after his performance against Duran

I was saddened to hear of his passing, and then annoyed by the fact nobody I know had heard of him. Before the joke fight between Mayweather and that Youtube twat, my family asked "which one is the boxer then?" And last year, I was asked who the 'biggest' celebrity was to have appeared in Strictly Come Dancing. I said Joe Calzaghe. "Who?"

Boxing has an image problem.

Very sad, Dave. Can't say I'd ever seen him fight, but  that's no age to die.

Galahad duly wins, with Jazza Dickens' face a right mess by the end.
