Pleeeeeease. Well done Villa.1992/3 season. Saunders pen at home in a 1-0 win, Daley goal away, also 1-0.Thanks Martin, appreciate it.The day of the away game that season was the one when Small Heath were 4-1 up against Swindon and ended up losing 6-4 I think.I think that was the day of the 2-1 win when Saunders and Townsend scored. EDIT: you were right. Only just realised I went to both those games, had absolutely no recollection of the Daley one, apart from recalling quite clearly that I was at Highbury when I heard the Blues-Swindon score. How very Blues of me.I've lived in the south-east for almost 50 years and have seen most our our matches at Highbury and the Emirates, including 1981, but I think the 2-1 in 1993 was our luckiest victory. We were completely outplayed but Bosnich saved a Wright penalty and Andy Townsend scored the winner in the last minute. Real smash and grab.I was at the 93 game with the Arsenal fans (north bank was closed for redevelopment). I couldn’t contain my excitement when Daley scored but all I got at the end was well done and please win the title instead of Utd. As we all know it didn’t end wellI was at the 93 away game at Highbury. They only gave us something like 2000 or maybe less tickets crammed in in the corner of the clock end.Went apeshit went Tony scored!!! Am sure it was 0.1 to us and not 1.2

Today’s win was critical as it kept us in touch with the side above us. Important to remember that a number of the teams above us and around us will still have domestic cup and European football to contend with starting again later this month. That’s going to take a toll on them. If we can keep it together we can make some ground up and take advantage of their fatigue. Our schedule to the end of the season is quite open relative to the past 6 games.
Watching MOTD tonight 👍

Since we came back up we have got these by the bollocks. Even their 1 in 4 win against us was dodgy.
We did beat them twice the year after down, but they were both at Highbury. Atkinson in the League Cup and then that great comeback 2-1 win late on with Whittingham and Townsend.
