Lingard starts for them, hopefully he is a bit rusty and not match fit.

That’s torn it.

I think this is a good change. AEG purely on form would not have been dropped but for Covid. Let’s hope he is now fit and ready to go. Traore has done very well in my opinion but at times we looked gassed. He’s not going to run all day and so for him to be most effective we need to use him according to his greatest strengths. And this is precisely why we have a squad. I want to see SJM and Barkley and even Jack get rested on occasion. We want every player to operate at peak performance and in order to do that we need to have strength in-depth in all positions. We are getting there slowly.

Also that twat Fredericks (see Fulham playoff final for details), normally a full-back, is playing instead of Bowen. Which one assumes is good. Certainly makes them more defensive.

Maybe someone can return the favour from 2018.

Reminder to management, subs can be used at any point, not just injury time. Anyway, target Lingard as he'll be miles off the pace.

I think Jack was seen on camera giving Frederick's a round of fcuks in either the corresponding game or last season (or maybe both!).

That’s what I meant. Just preferred a Mod to say it so clearly ! My concern is that he rarely plays so probably has only one job tonight and it’s similar to that game. Hopefully Jack and the rest of them are smart enough to allow Jack to drag him all over the pitch and create space for others.

Teams are setting up in a very similar way. I think man-for-man we're better than them in most positions though. They've got some dangerous players in the front four that we'll need to watch.

Last three home games have been a clean sheet. Lets see a typical Martinez & Co. mean machine performance at the back.
