I was at West Ham a few years back and my mate clocked one of their fans in the stand to our left who didnt seem to be watching the game but gesturing over towards our stand. Whenever we glanced over, he'd be waving his arms, pointing etc. He was just weird..

I think you're reading too much into the "shithouse" comment chaps. It was merely meant to portray how crap a team you were last year using colourful language. I don't think any of you can really argue that you weren't much good last season.

I'm a little surprised so many of you are offended tbh. I've said far worse about so, so many other teams.

I've said worse about West Ham ffs.  ;)

It’s all very two faced. We have no issue with fans of other clubs coming on here and having good conversation and a bit of fun. But don’t then slag us off behind our back. It’s no different to any relationship to be honest. You wouldn’t like it if a friend or simply an acquaintance  did it that you thought were decent only to find out they were wankers to you elsewhere. Too bad.

Fella, one of my best mates is a Spurs fan. How'd you think that goes? I'll make jokes about his team all the time, but if I'm at his house watching his team play (not recently, of course) I'll be polite and respectful, and we can still have reasoned debate about each others teams.

You have let us down ,  you have let yourself down  and more importantly you have let Alf garnett down , now go and give your head a wobble 🤔😀

Very much this.
I know we shouldn't tar people with the same brush, but in my experience the further south you go the more two-faced fuckers you encounter, just like this bloke. He should post on small heath alliance, they'll be wanking him off in no time with his comments about da vile.Probably be in their hall of fame before too long.

West Ham are a strange club, lots of hipster appeal and I’m not really sure why. They have this belief they should play a certain style of football, again I don’t know why. They’re just kind of a middling club, who do alright but that’s about it.

East End gangster chic, innit?

I'd go with;

Martinez

Targett
Mings
Konsa
Cash

Dougie
McGinn

Barkley

Grealish
Watkins
Traore

Think the same XI is right. We dominated the ball and the chances back in November and I think that's a higher quality side attack wise.

I would expect them to take measures to try and stop Grealish which when you take into account the workmanlike nature of their midfield, ought to see us dominate the ball and territory again.

The question is whether we can take chances, as we missed sitters back in November. I'd take Mings and Konsa out of the zonal marking and put them on Soucek and Dawson, as I feel the percentage ball will be where they're most dangerous.

Important that we win. We'd go above them and have two games in hand.

We owe them one for their lucky win against us at their athletics stadium earlier in the season. I’d love us to thrash them out of sight.

I couldn't care less about most of the comments from Sendo but the idea that we dive any more than anyone else in the league is utter bullshit. Players go down under small contact all the time because if you go down you get a free kick if you don't the ref ignores it, that's a problem with officiating not with players. Any game you like you can pick out a number of free kicks where players have gone to ground when they didn't have to, just because Grealish draws so many tackles that he gets more chances to go down than anyone else people accuse him of diving but it's no different to most attacking players in the league, he's just better at moving the ball away from players than most people.

On the game this is another like Southampton where they owe us after a lucky win (the disallowed goal/non penalty was a shocking decision) and I think we'll have a similar battling win, 2-0, Ollie and Jack.

No love lost for me over West Ham, we’ve had some crap owners the past 10 years but nothing comes close to the dildo selling charlatans at the London running track arena.

FTF 3-0.

It might just be me but in recent games it's seemed like there's been less fouls involving Jack. Could be our opponents changing tactics to try to stop him without giving away so many free kicks. Teams are doubling up on him and in Burnley's case trebling up on him. Could be that Jack himself is trying to shake off his perceived reputation for diving and is making a deliberate effort to stay on his feet more. Could be the amount of alcohol I've been shifting while watching the boys. Does anyone gave any stats that could clear this up either way?

When we beat Arsenal early on in the season at Highbury just after promotion in 1988 one Villa fan near us seemed to spend pretty much the whole game singing "He's bent he's bent his arse is up for rent Perry Groves, Perry Groves". Never before or since have I encountered a fan who sang on his own so long and loud.

As for the Villa v West Ham game I suspect it could well end in a draw. West Ham very rarely impress me when I watch them on TV but they have been getting decent results.

The title of this thread makes it look like a three way tie between Aston, Villa and West ham.

David Camerons head has exploded.

Think we’re all getting a bit precious about another fan’s comments about us but each to their own I suppose.
I take umbrage to the fact he said something like we don’t score many goals. Granted we don’t score as many as we should be we’re certainly a far batter attacking outfit than we have been for yonks.

He said in his post that Villa were only good for a goal a game. He must have forgot our 7 v Liverpool and 3 at Arsenal etc and the small fact that West Ham have scored 1 goal or less in 13 out of 21 games this season.
