Stumbled across this hidden gem on You Tube. German commentary but the full match.

Morley at his very best. Saunders knew exactly what buttons to press to wind him up and then unleash him.
Seemed to be plenty of Villa fans behind that goal, this was only round two and East Berlin would not have been the most straightforward of places to get to back then.

What a brilliant find.  That was a game in which no quarter was asked or given.  I must admit, I had forgotten that Dynamo had missed a penalty just before Morley made it 2-1, and given we lost the second leg 1-0 against what was a very strong side it can fairly be said that a few minutes of that game in Berlin are of monumental significance in the story of our club.

All the top players ended up at the Dynamo clubs because they were the team of the secret police. It was usually a case of "you're playing here now" rather than "would you like to play for a better team". We beat two of them on our way to the title.

Great find, I've never seen the whole game before. I remember we were at school when the match was one an someone got the score from the radio. Very strange game, which ended up with both Ormsby and Linton in defense (not sure why Deacy wasn't included).

I got stopped on way home at the border as I only had a day visa and was in East Germany for 2 days.  To be fair they were okay with us.
