Southampton haven't been in great form in the league, with 1 win in 7, albeit against Liverpool.

We need to get back to winning ways, and three points starts to separate us from Southampton and the bottle neck in the middle of the table. Need to keep Ings quiet as he's a player who always seems to do well against us, and not give away free kicks in dangerous areas.

1-3.

Should be a good game. We need energy for this one and as in a other thread, Traore out for Trez, Barkley out for Ramsay to give us legs then change at 60 mins to bully them near the end.

If we could not give any free kicks away within 15 yards of our area, that would be great.

Tough game and I would've taken a draw but for last night's aberration. I expect us to be a little less fluid, more compact with a couple of personel changes. We'll squeak it.

0-1

Both teams are coming off poor results. I would like to think we are more than a match for this lot. They are a good side. I'll go with a rare 1-1

Watkins to carry on scoring

Bogey side Southampton?  Need a win with three losses in four. More ruthless please Villa, it’s the only thing missing from our game!

I watched them in their last game. The lack pace but make up for it as they are very well organised as a team and attack and defend as a team.
I have no idea what to expect from this Villa team.

I went to St Marys last season to witness one of the most pitiful performances I have ever witnessed from a Villa team, I still have nightmares of Reina jogging back from the Southampton half to pick the ball out of the net.

Anyway we are a completely different team now so 1-2 to us, Watkins and Konsa.

If we could not give any free kicks away within 15 yards of our area, that would be great.

Defend corners better too and be more clinical when we create chances. I hope we see a positive reaction. This is the second time now that we've played them having had a poor 45 minutes beforehand, we can't afford to have a poor first half against them this time around.

I'm gonna try a different approach for this one.
3-0 to them. That should all but guarantee a Villa victory.
