Villa 2-2 Nottingham Forest - 2016/17
« on: January 24, 2021, 04:16:12 PM »
After ths Newcastle game, Sky showed this match from our first season back in the Championship with Di Matteo in charge.

Couldn't believe how bad the side was, with players like Gollini, Elphick, De Laet, Cissokho, Westwood, Gary Gardner, McCormack and Bunn and Gestede coming off the bench.

Lansbury scored and late and completely undeserved equaliser for them. Gestede and McCormack with our goals.

Just shows how far we've come in 5 years.

Gollini is currently one of the top rated keepers on the world right now. Shows again how shit we've been at nurturing talent.

He got a bad injury against Brentford. He played very well in 2018/9 pre-season, only for Bruce to send him to Oz on loan, leaving us with no centre-back cover whatsoever!!
