Eagle from Spieth, certainly stopped the rot, back in contention.

MacIntyre finishes with a 67, looks a very good prospect.

Must admit that hearing Nick Faldo quoting Frankie Goes to Hollywood lyrics as the players walk up the 18th, was not something I expected

My interest in golf extends to watching days 3 and 4 of the British Open on TV, being one of the events that defines summer.  What a great round round of golf that was, and of sporting prowess, by the young man Morikawa.  So calm, so solid, so assured.  Fantastic.

Yeah brilliant performance, seemed to have no nerves at all, and this was his first Open. At the age of 24, looks like he's gonna win many more majors.

Really enjoyed the 4 days, St Andrews next year for the 150th celebration.

I see Jordan Spieth had consecutive eagles in his round yesterday, in all my years of playing the game, I haven't even had one eagle on my scorecard, but I have had a hole in one.

Anna Nordqvist wins the Open at Carnoustie, great effort from Georgia Hall finishing one behind and a brilliant effort from Scottish amateur Louise Duncan finishing joint 10th,

I watched a bit of this over the past few days. Duncan is quite a talent

Patrick Cantlay wins the Fedex Cup after 1 shot victory over John Rahm, picking up the small amount of $15m.

In the Solheim Cup Europe lead 9-7, but the USA are nearly always very strong in the singles, so it looks like being a tight finish.

Fantastic win for the Europeans, against all the odds, winning on US soil for only the second time and without having any of their fans. Special mention for Leona Maguire 4 1/2 points, which is a record for a rookie.

Don't often watch women's golf but enjoyed the end of that. Tennis and golf making up a bit for the disastrous cricket today.

Surely with an Irish captain Shane Lowry has to be a pic ?
