Enjoy the above if you want but they are not up as a celebration. Our previous win up there prior to these only two was 1954 !
An awful record and we have accumulated a mountain of results which eventually demand revenge.
There are good things happening at VP with the hope they can in time turn into great things.
Starting tomorrow I want us to start payback with this lot and put the bastards to the sword in their own shit hole ground.

And it is a shit ground, the football equivalent of an Amazon warehouse.

On 13th April 1977 Old Trafford was a very happy hunting ground for us. You'll never see a better strike in a Cup Final than Chris Nicholl's goal, one of the greatest nights in our great history.

Would love to see the full 90 minutes of our last win up there, one of the most nervous I've even been watching a second half of a game we've been leading. Injury time was a bit more relaxing as I was chuckling for a good minute at Ferguson loudly swearing at the 4th official for "only" adding 3 minutes at the end.

Defence back then actually reminds me of what we have this season, very good one v one defenders and Friedel was very solid aswell when we needed him to be.

Surprised we didn't put it up on the website as one of the retro games during lockdown and even finding anything beyond 2-3 minute highlights like above is impossible on YT.

Think I'd rather do them at VP. We did get a draw there last season but beyond a joke we haven't won at home to them in league since August 1995 so that simply has to end soon just like the home hoodoos over Arsenal and Liverpool have recently ended.

I had €100 win on that result at 7/1 in 2009, such was my confidence.

In fact, I had 50 quid on and after a few pints I thought, I don't have enough on this...

Thanks for posting that clip, I went to all three finals with my Dad and brother both no longer with us. The third match at O T I  went with my brother in law who was a Prison Officer at Strangeways, so had the pleasure of having Tea at the Prison canteen before the match. After the match returned to Strangeways officers social club for a cabaret act by Stan Boardman...he of the Gerrrrmmmans jokes.

Sad to say my BiL passed away the week before Christmas so that reminds me of a really good day. Many thanks, RIP Terry

I hope we play like we did against Liverpool and Arsenal and blow them away. Then when they get their inevitable cheating penalty, it won't matter.

Have they had enough time to recover from their exertions now then?

That clip is worth seeing, I just did. What a good and tense atmosphere. Brain Little did stand out as a player I thought. It was a xactly around that time I started to follow Villa. This is starting to be some years a go .... different times really but what a good bunch those supporters appears to be I have to say :)

I’ve now read in multiple places that Man U will go top if they beat us by 9 goals. So I’m delighted that’s what some are focusing on. Little upstart Aston Villa, one of the most in form teams in Europe, with the second best defence in the league and one of the top chance creating and goal scoring teams is going to roll in and take a pasting. I hope they take us lightly. I watched Wolves create numerous chances against them and they’re not close to what we are this season. We will do the same. We just have to put them away. But the fucking cheek of it all. I hope we go there and give them a good game and a beating all these fuckers will remember.

Take the game to them and beat the cheating fuckingredfilthcuntywankers.

I hate everthing about them from their arrogant wanker supporters to the industrial estate stadium they play at to the red nosed tosser who managed them previously to the gnome they have managing them today.

You just know you will be playing against 12 of them on the pitch, a couple more in a VAR shed somewhere and a completely sycophantic commentary team.

But we are good enough to rip them a new arsehole. Come on boys, fucking get into em

They are the ultimate counter attacking team.

If we score first we can win readily
