Manchester United v Aston Villa Pre-Match Thread January 1st 8pm
« on: December 28, 2020, 08:51:02 PM »
We will enter 2021 no worse than 6th spot after the remaining games this year. That is a stunning achievement. We will head to Old Trafford full of confidence with another difficult challenge to overcome. But it certainly won't easy for them either. They are also in very good form and have a lot of excellent players; but I can see us fighting hard to another well earned point.

1-1 Watkins for us. He deserves a goal.

Seconded. They already think the title's theirs if Liverpool slip up, the cocky w@ankers.

Would be happy with a draw though.

I want to win this just so fucking much. I think they'll do us though, probably with a jammy Bruno Fernandes penalty making the breakthrough.

But Christ almighty I hate them and want us to do them.

Hope I’m wrong but 3rd game in a week, against man u’s forward line might be a game too far.
Then again I think McGinn and Dougie are better than their centre midfield, I think our defence is better than theirs, our goalie better than there’s. If barcklay is ready, I’d start him instead of Traore for this one, for 60 mins anyway, and put grealish back on the left and move El Ghazi over to the right. Could be a difficult night for Matty Cash though. Set McGinn the terrier on Fernandes.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost, but for the first time, perhaps for ever, I also wouldn’t be surprised if  we go there and turn the over.
3 2 villa (Grealish, Watkins, barcklay).

Think we should really change it up a bit for this one. Although it's likely Barkley and Mings will come back in both Grealish and Watkins could do with a breather. I'm not really fancying our chances here to be honest. Come game time no doubt I will !

If it was just their team and subs, but it’s the refs, the media and VAR.
The story they all want is a Manure 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' title race.

They have a game tomorrow against the Dogheads, so at least we will get an extra days rest before we play them.

I don't know how many Times we've assisted a Man United player going through a dry patch.

Forlan sticks out in my Mind.

Its about time the roles reverse. Ollie to get a hat-trick.
