Chilwell has the freedom of the park. Surely we knew what his strength is? Why weren’t we prepared for it and counteracted it?

We seem to be a bit devoid of ideas today. Unfortunately, Chelsea look pretty much in control and are creating loads of space, on their left hand side, giving Chilwell far too much room. Unlike our last few matches, we’re not creating much up top.

Cash is playing very narrow when they are around the box, Traore should have kept tracking but Matty was inside the line of the 18yd box with an attacker outside of him.  That is more than an issue of one player not tracking properly it's an unbalanced system.

Looks like another flat performance against a crap team (Rudiger and Christensen are playing after all). Hopefully we can regroup and tweak the tactics to shut down the wide threat.

Might this be a game for the fabled 442?

Think I'd take Traore off and put Nakamba on and look at see how that goes for 20 minutes. Need to stop Kante and Mount from quickly sweeping the ball out wide, would tell McGinn to drop back there when we're out of possesion.

If anybody doesnt appreciate what Trez gives us it was demonstrated by that goal and Traores contribution to it.

Look weak on our right, both going forward and defending. Chelsea are a quality side though and we’ve done well.

Shame we’re 1-0 down because I thought we were the better team for the first 30 minutes.

I’m watching it with no commentary. We shaded first quarter and they shaded the second for me. Partly as they appear to be able to foul pretty much with impunity.
Yep, no commentary for me and reported the same to my dad. We looked excellent/dangerous up to about 25min mark, and for the last few minutes. 25mins-40mins they looked excellent. Think we can still get something out of this, just need to get them back on the back foot early on.

playing with our usual swagger up until the goal, but since then it's just hause lumping it forward to the channels.
if we can come from behind to get something out of this game it will be a massive show of intent.

Chelsea have a lot of top notch  players and when on form are bloody good, plus we could have done without them getting tonked at Arsenal as they seem to have reacted by upping their effort and game.  I'm not surprised we aren't creating as much as recent matches.

We're looking slightly rattled.

We do. After a good start, Chelsea are bringing out our weaknesses, House's distribution, El Ghazi running into brick walls, Traore looking like he did when here first arrived and Jack trying to do too much. Not really sure what we can do, nobody on the bench to change it. We can only have a bit more faith in our own ability and go at them.

Yep huge miss for games like this. Trez would be sprinting back when we lose the ball, Traore is just jogging back and by then the cross has already been swung in.
