If it carries on like this, I’ll soon be able to start worrying about results of teams above us, rather than below us. Some habits are hard to break.

Reassuring to see the “Villa Thread” goes straight in at number 2 on Small Time Alliance top 10. Marvellous!

So proud, just couldn't believe how controlled and dangerous we looked. Shearer and Richards and Mowbray and Keown all predicting a second half onslaught from Palace that never came.
Easy to say it suited us playing on the break but we dominated most of that game with 10 or 11. Chuffed to buggery as Partridge would say. Can't wait til Ollie starts scoring again. That's all that was missing from today.

Absolutely fantastic performance today. To a man fantastic (apart from Mings' foolishness).

As a side note, I suspect our reaction to Zaha is how other teams' fans react to jack.

Just a brilliant performance, from everyone. Felt really gutted for Ollie that he didn’t get his goal, but pleased Keown gave him MoTM. He never ever stops running, defenders in any game never get a break, superb.

But everyone was superb, as has been said. Glad this was on BBC for everyone to see us. And what a goal from El Ghazi.
Thought the ref reffed well.

Toughest test of the season so far coming up on Monday, whatever happens, I am so impressed and hugely proud of these players and the management team.

Just going to say that about Zaha. He unsettled Mings, drew fouls and won the battle. Zaha must have gone off at half time though!

I would sign Zaha in a flash if he became available. People hate him for the same reason as they dislike Jack so much - because he’s so bloody good.

Brilliant. Top performance from everyone except Mings. Zaha had the beating of him mentally and physically. Thankfully it didn’t cost us.

UTFV

That's slightly unfair. If Zaha had a longer reach than Mings, he would have lamped Mings and been sent off.

I thought that too about Zaha, he’s clever and very similar to Jack with how he wins free kicks. Nowhere near as good as him though. But I can see why other teams fans hate our Jack.

Can’t believe how when we attack now I think we might score. I can’t believe I also feel a little disappointed we haven’t scored five or six.

I dont see a single thing in him to compare him to Jack.

We couldn’t could we?

No not a chance

I agree, no chance we'll get relegated.

Bad news for the bitters out there, the Big Team's back!!

Nice to see the likes of targett and Watkins getting the plaudits. Both had fantastic games

Brilliant win, thought it was going to be a serious test in the second half after Mings idiocy but we completely outplayed them. Watkins bullied their centre backs, on another day he bags a hat trick. Finishing has gone a bit cold for him lately but will come again. Mings aside, there wasn't a weak link in the team.

Unless he had prevented Palace scoring? One for the team?
