This is awesome. Love these videos

When Traore scored, I was expecting VAR to look at Jack's control of the ball before he passed it, and for the goal to be ruled out. Watching it again from this angle, it looked a lot like arm...

Also, AEG could have had 5 himself.

I am surprised they didn't look at that again. Maybe one of those that hots breastbone/shoulder

Well there we have it, the full set of excuses for them.

First goal, offside and too early, doesn't count.
Livermore should never had been sent off.
Haus should have been sent off.
Second goal was hand ball in the build up.
Third goal was not a penalty, blatant dive.

Let's just call it 0-0 and forget about it.

I think you're understating it there. Surely there must be an excuse as to why it is technically a win for them.

Did anyone else think of Alex Cropley when that thug put that tackle in on Jack?

It’s their net spend of £5m over three seasons versus our £250m ay it?

It naturally follows that greasy, or whatever witty moniker they have for him, would have collected the two bookings he clearly deserved for repeatedly throwing himself to the floor, we'd have fallen to pieces without him, and they'd have then sliced through us with their legendary silky football, condemning us to the 3- or 4-nil defeat our dastardly display truly deserved.

Them and the noses still don't seem to grasp why billionaire owners are attracted to Aston Villa and not their shit heaps.

Garth Crooks has said this:

What a pity Semi Ajayi couldn't repeat his performance for West Brom at Manchester City. I'm convinced that if the Baggies hadn't had Jake Livermore sent off, they would have got something out of this game.

I’m not paying my licence fee anymore

There is absolutely no chance that is the full Garth Crooks quote. Crooks is a man who will never use two sentences if he has the opportunity to use twenty two sentences. I also dislike his annoying overly earnest manner.

Yes, I did. Also check out the brief highlights of the Milk Cup tie at the Hawthorns in 1983. Gary Owen wiping out Gary Williams on the touchline and Ken McNaught taking out Peter Withe from behind.

For those who care, Baggies' xG was a mindblowingly shit 0.04.
That's outstanding if you think about it. If we played them 75 times, counted all their goals but only the ones we scored in the first 90 minutes ... they might've got 1 point out of it. That's every game bar 1, for 2 complete league seasons.

Just to add to this, we are still currently on target to end the season with a goal difference that is around 90 better than theirs.

I quite liked this on one of their forums as I see it as a positive change which the big clubs have been doing for years:

"Yep. Villa were bickering and complaining about almost every corner, throw-in or free-kick that didn't go there way. Mings in particular regularly running away with the ball when the opposition have a throw or free kick to allow his team get back into a defensive shape. Big shouts whenever they go down. And not just yesterday. Seems to be a feature since at least Smith came in. Seems to be working for them.
Whereas we seemed very mute in comparison and if a throw doesn't go our way we just throw our hands up apologetically. As mentioned Diangana, didn't seem to make much of a deal with his ankle stamped on in comparison to the loud vociferous scream that Grealish let out when Livermore went into him.
Seems to help give Villa another edge over us and set part of their stall out for the game; although in fairness they had comprehensively outplayed us in every other facet as well."

It is called being streetwise and I am glad we are whereas in the past we haven't been.
Absolutely.
When I played in a good Sunday League side a couple of the lads played for Tamworth on Saturdays. Their constant "banter" with the ref was a joy to behold and an education in diplomatic influence. Making the assumption that every ball that went out of play was "ours" and being outraged when it wasn't, definitely pissed off their players, supporters and made the ref and linesmen think they'd got it wrong. The overall "minimal gains" were well worth it!

Just been on the blower with my mate (not a Baggies fan) who insists there was nothing amiss with the tackle on Jack, while Hause's tackle was far worse and should have been a red card!!

This guy isn't your average pillock, btw, and has seen hundreds of games and his opinions are usually worth hearing.

We agreed to disagree!

I didn't have time to point out that by the time of the sending-off, Livermore had already had two other digs at Jack, without punishment.
