It seems like it'll be a fast, open game between two teams noted for their attractive football. I'm looking forward to a great advert for local football irrespective of the result.

Have you been kidnapped Dave?

Do we have to pay Ross's salary for the weeks he's unavailable? Better make up for it when he returns..

I think it was reported, before Barkley came to us, was that he does suffer from injuries. Shame, been a good player for us but, very disappointing as Dean has said all along that the injury was not as bad as first thought. Bit of honesty to us fans wouldn’t go amiss. I’d much rather Dean told it as it was and not to keep frustrating us with his coming back quickly comments.

When Barkley got injured I joked about seeing him back for the Manure game.  I’m not far wrong.  Villa and injuries Jeez.
It's incredibly frustrating. The bench is a complete joke as well, 5 defensive players, a rookie and a striker that never scores.
The bench is what it is: it's all we've got unless we throw in some kids, to make up the numbers.

So who would you put on the bench?

Stuff these losers.

Pretty sure I heard either Chiles or Skinner once refer to us as a “silly named club”, wasn’t full blooded, just a petty, gormless dig by someone whose footballing life has been made grim for following a loser club. They can joke all they like about boings and ridiculous mascots all they like also being quirky, doesn’t hide the fact that they’ve had a pretty miserable existence for decades. Let’s keep it that way Villa, come on!

A silly named club ? We are the best named club in the world...end of

There is nobody else unless the younger players get the nod. That is the frustrating thing, the bench is not the best.

I’d like to see Ramsey instead of AEG.

And Barry on the bench.

We should still do these.

I'm a fan of good football and an admirer of properly-run clubs whoever they are but I do think it's important to have all the local sides doing well.

3 of the bench had recent game time and all did pretty well.

And what do you suggest to improve that bench. Crikey doom and gloom before we kick a ball.
